Description
The design theme of the project is the elegant charm of the Song Dynasty, and the reference materials mainly come from the paintings of the Song Dynasty. The greatest challenge lies in how to recreate the light environment of the architecture and space in the Song Dynasty, as the information provided in literati paintings is extremely limited.
The main decorative materials for the architecture and space have also been changed to craftsmanship that would not have been actually used in the Song Dynasty, such as coffee-colored metal and large areas of translucent stone.
Therefore, before formulating the lighting design plan, it is necessary to fully understand the essence of Song Dynasty aesthetics, and use modern technologies and equipment to express the elegance of the Song Dynasty in a way that modern people can directly understand and comprehend. The patterns of the lanterns in the Song Dynasty are not the key. What matters is the warmth and delicacy of Hetian jade, the rich and subtle changes of Ru kiln porcelain under different lighting conditions, and the varying shades, wetness, dryness, tranquility and remoteness in the landscape paintings.
