Description
Despite its moderate scale, the project presented significant design challenges due to requirements for numerous classrooms, functional complexity, site constraints, and proximity to historical buildings. The design addresses these through multiple approaches: harmonizing with the campus' historical context by integrating into Shanghai High School's "sites of memory"; employing modern materials and technologies compatible with traditional materials and color schemes of historic structures; implementing intensive and refined architectural layout to optimize limited space utilization; and creating sophisticated interior spaces within standardized column grids to meet contemporary international pedagogical demands for innovative educational environments.
