The project is located in Fuzhou City, with a total land area of 74,600 square meters. The design aims to create a high-quality contemporary elderly care community and explore a new type of settlement space for the elderly to live in clusters. The design caters to the elderly's core needs in medical care, social interaction, fitness, and spiritual fulfillment. It crafts an inclusive, adaptable space with rich scenarios, offering a comprehensive lifestyle that integrates various living experiences for their well-being. The site is adjacent to mountains and water. The design fully combines the traditional Chinese architectural ideas and methods of dealing with the landscape environment. The architecture, the natural landscape, and the courtyard are treated as a whole, creating the image of an oriental landscape garden. The design team has studied the unique spatial characteristics of the historic district in Fuzhou. Inspired by this, a new courtyard system is created in the Vitality Center, the core building. The design also combines the traditional roof forms in Fuzhou and gives a contemporary interpretation with the image of paper-cut flying eaves.
