Description
As a landmark of ecological civilization in Guangzhou, Haizhu National Wetland Park holds precious ecological and cultural values. A natural museum is sited here to promote urban ecological science education, scientific research, and tourism development through science exhibitions and natural education bases.
The overall architectural form adapts to the surrounding environment. Four building units are established according to different spatial functions, with a gentle corridor inspired by the Lingnan cultural element "water sleeves" connecting the scattered units.
Given the site’s humidity, high mosquito density, and warm climate, the design references stilt-house characteristics by partially elevating the buildings. This not only addresses climatic challenges but also significantly reduces the ecological impact on the wetland environment.
