Description
This project is located at the edge of Xinitaohai Gacha, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia, China. The site is located at the intersection of the desert and the village, not far from the famous Helan Mountain in China. This camel caravan station is mainly for accommodation and catering, mainly for local tourists and adventurers to provide food and accommodation, with a total construction area of 2,500 square meters. This design first takes how to provide the best spatial way for tourists to view and experience the unique desert landscape around as the starting point. The design introduces a continuous viewing roof platform, which is constantly winding to provide tourists with a panoramic viewing perspective. At the same time, the curved roof encloses an open and semi-open courtyard space, inheriting the spatial layout of the local traditional courtyard house, and providing shelter from occasional sandstorms. The rooftop viewing platforms are intertwined with each other. While ensuring the continuity of the walking experience, they form a viewing space sequence with both continuity and different opening and closing changes through steps and doorways formed by overlapping and interlacing.
