Description
The Sound of the Saints Chapel boasts numerous highlights. Conceptually, as an auditory building, it takes on the challenge of making sound solidify within the structure and enabling the building to convey a sense of fluidity. The architectural design is distinctive, featuring a simple exterior yet a complex interior. The unique design with multiple air-leaking areas is particularly remarkable. The lighting design ingeniously applies the principles of sound propagation to manage the light paths, incorporating techniques such as guiding light, concealing light, allowing light to permeate, and creating a floating effect with light. The semi-transparent, liftable canopy on the roof serves a dual purpose. It functions as an environmental regulator and also stands as a floating landmark. When illuminated at night, it presents a striking feature, masterfully integrating sound, light, the building itself, and the surrounding environment.
