Description
The Marketplace of North Coast, located in Aranya’s southern public cluster, offers affordable dining and groceries via its canteen and supermarket. Designed as a low, single-story structure to preserve sea views and privacy, it mimics a miniature urban market with "indoor shops and plazas." Scattered tapered-roof stalls create a dynamic layout, while a sinuous perimeter gallery—flanked by takeaway windows—links the market to the park, forming three green courtyards. This gallery ensures a human-scale entry experience and allows seasonal outdoor expansion. The hybrid construction combines concrete shear walls (shops) and steel-frame flat roofs (public areas), blending traditional market topology with a compact, park-integrated settlement.
