Baotou Olympic Ice and Snow Center
Description
This project is located in Baotou City, China. As the largest all-weather ice and snow complex in the northwest region, the project deconstructs spatial order through the "dialectics of hot and cold" - the coexistence of a -5 ℃ cold zone and an 18 ℃ public warm zone. Architects break down complex functions to ensure both functional independence and spatial continuity. The overall modular functional layout allows visitors to determine the orientation of each area based on the block shape as soon as they enter the venue, weaving public experience, professional events, and industrial incubation into a continuous energy field. The warm zone of the Olympic Ice and Snow Center will not experience overcrowding, crowding, or blockage in any particular area of the hall.
