Description
In the lobby, the interplay of light and shadow flows along the designer's choice of materials and lines. The gown display area and the negotiation area on the first floor are connected by a circular “egg-shaped” structure, forming a distinctive visual focal point. The predominantly black tones are punctuated by sparkling points of light, creating the sensation of stepping into a new world. This egg-shaped structure extends through both the first and second floors, evoking a feeling of traversing time and space. A massive art installation acts as a bridge between water and sky while transitioning into the second floor. Soft light filters through the gaps, casting dynamic spots of light throughout the space. Traditional Chinese latticework and clean, linear geometries carry forward the essence of classical Chinese architecture while imparting a steadier texture to the environment. Light strips on the ceiling and hidden lighting on the floor allow light and shadow to flow through the space, creating a dynamic visual experience. The ingenious use of light renders the space deeper and more profound, as if time has come to a halt here.
