Yingfan Zhang is the co-founder and chief architect of Atelier Alter Architects, graduated from the Urban Design program at the Graduate School of Architectural Design at Harvard University and the Cooper Union Architecture program at the New York Full Scholarship. She studied under the architectural guru Raimund Abraham, as well as modernist leaders John Hejduk and Peter Eisenmen. She has worked at RMJM North America and Atelier Raimund Abraham Architects, specializing in exploring the unique cultural context of the site through artistic techniques and conveying care for humanity and society through abstract poetry. The representative composer of the Jing History Museum responds to nature with architectural language born in the context of the site, reflecting her critical thinking on architecture, innovative pursuit of architectural language, and ability to shape the cultural field of architecture. I have taught at Tsinghua University and Tianjin University for many years.
